NEED LESS, BE MORE.

The Gaea Collective is the first brand in the United States to create and produce a clothing line made entirely from hemp. A plant that is not only the most sustainable to grow but is also nature’s most powerful air purifier. Hemp absorbs more CO2 per hectare than any other forest or commercial crop making it the ideal carbon sink.

Our clothing and accessories are made from 100% organic hemp fiber. We only use natural dyes and production methods to minimize our impact on the environment. We believe that every small step towards an eco-friendly future can make a big impact on the health of our planet. By choosing Gaea Collective, you are not only investing in comfortable and cool clothing, but you are also supporting the well-being of Mother Earth and future generations. Join us in our mission to heal our planet!

OUR PLEDGE:

100% ORGANIC

Our hemp is grown 100% organically following natural principles such as no plowing, weeding, pruning or using any fertilizers. This way hemp is allowed to naturally germinate and grow without human intervention. Hemp is naturally pest-resistant and doesn’t require any pesticides or herbicides and requires two to five times less water than cotton production. It's also easier to process and requires less land.

100% BIODEGRADABLE

Hemp fabric is the most sustainable fabric in terms of production. When it reaches the end of its useable life it can also be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. Hemp is 100% biodegradable and compostable as it can be naturally broken down by microorganisms. Hemp will biodegrade in weeks; cotton in about five months while natural silk can take four years just to begin the process.

100% ANTIBACTERIAL

Hemp fabric is naturally antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal. Cotton is not!  This means that hemp can inhibit the growth of microorganisms, including a variety of bacteria and fungi. This property is due to the presence of certain compounds in hemp fiber called cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabichromene. The fiber's properties also stop the spread of odor, so you will feel more comfortable in the clothes you wear.

100% UV RESISTANT

Hemp clothing has been found to be highly effective in blocking both UV-A and UV-B rays. Studies have shown that hemp clothing has a UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) rating of 20 or higher, which is considered to be highly effective in blocking harmful UV rays. In fact, hemp fabric is proven to be the most effective when compared to other natural fibers like cotton or silk.
